Crossroads is designed to give you the opportunity to initiate your own occasion and engage the community in your interests. Our living rooms, kids corner and kitchen are available for your use. See our reservation page and calender for availability.

Programs:

Jan’s Cooking Class - Jan teaches interactive cooking classes introducing participants to traditional American and international recipes, cooking techniques, and tools. Every Tuesday morning - 10am - 12pm. Children welcome. Check out her blog for the latest classes and recipes.

Afternoon Tea - Soon once a month women from all over the world will gather to exchange experiences, cultural norms, and perspectives on every day life. Topics range from women in business and home, motherhood, daycare, mother-in-laws, social concerns, pregnancy and labor, women in academia, your inspirations, and much more. Topics will be posted on the calender prior to meeting. Every first Thursday 4:30-6. Children welcome.

Other Events Held at Crossroads:

Campus English Club - bi-weekly classes on Thursday from 1-3pm. Starting Feb. 3rd. Dates are- 2/17 3/3 3/17 3/31 4/14 4/28. with Gail Sakai.

ISI English Class - meets on Thursday mornings during the school year from 9:30am to 11:30am. There are three classes: one is lower intermediate and the other two are intermediate / advanced. Schedule is 70 minutes of English in separate classes, 20 minutes for refreshments and conversation, and 30 minutes large group time for announcements, songs, and a Bible story told by Beth Larson. Rides are available if needed, email David at dil23@cornell.edu or call 200-4080. Mothers can bring pre-school children as well and a play area will be provided. The cost is $15 per semester (to cover materials). No classes during summer or winter break.

Cornell International Christian Fellowship (CICF) - every Friday night at 6:30pm. CICF is a student led organization that was initiated in 1994 by several students in Graduate Christian Fellowship to address the spiritual and social needs of their international friends who face the challenges of studies and life far from home.

Today CICF provides a community of friendship for students and scholars from around the world. The group is culturally diverse, with over forty persons in regular attendance representing over 79 countries participating in the last thirteen years. CICF is a student led organization and there is no formal membership. Participation in CICF is open to all, regardless of religious and cultural background or student status. We are an inter-denominational group and are not affiliated with a specific church although many of us attend various churches in the area.
